Nah, I gotcha. Next time something like that comes up, though, lemme take a shot at it instead. I think it's my turn by now.
...Those clothes we found in the lake. There was blood on the front of the collar and then another bloodstain on the back of the shirt, about halfway down on the right side. It was darker on the inside, like whoever was wearing it bled onto it, but there wasn't any damage to it. Like, last week the blood was around the rips in the fabric, but this wasn't like that.
Unless it was someone's power coming into play, the only thing I could think was that whoever was wearin' it must have already been wounded before they put it on.
...already wounded, and then the wound reopened, you mean? Because if they'd just been bleeding freely from the start, it would've been more than just on that one spot. If it was bandaged or partially healed already, that would contain it.
Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Either that or it was faked altogether, I guess, but...
[ sighs. ]
I dunno. They were pretty small is the other thing, so if it was something the killer actually wore and not something planted... I didn't wanna bring too much attention to that once we already had our eyes on Adlet for Whisper, y'know?
...that's not entirely impossible, actually. It being faked. It'd clear someone who couldn't fit into the clothes, but it wouldn't definitively pin anyone who could fit into it but didn't have any injuries in those spots. It'd be a way for a culprit to clear themself without actively trying to throw an individual under the bus.
[he nods]
But yeah, I get it. If it wasn't faked, then... well, there aren't many answers to that that we'd like.
I don't think it's impossible either. Just... seems to me it'd be kinda weird that they did it that way, in that case. I dunno if they just missed adding rips that should've been there or if they were trying to say something by intentionally leavin' 'em out.
[ ... ]
Anyway, I guess... if you end up treatin' anyone who looks like they have a healed wound in that spot, it's something to look into further.

[ it'll be good to know what team they're on, at least, but he hasn't explained that yet, so. ]

...anyway. I'll let you know if I do see anything like that.
