I don't think it should have been any of us when we didn't even get to pick how we would handle a problem they presented and told us was ours to solve. Just like I don't think it was fair for her fate to be in someone else's hands rather than how it should have gone. [ oh. he's angry. but he takes a moment before he looks away. ]
...but it's better than most things. At least there may be a good memory or some kind of peace attached to her passing than what would have happened if we left an execution in the city's hands.
