It's their jobs, I get it. But I also wish we'd had a little bit of leniency given we're heroes in training or whatever.
[ ... ]
All things considered this is one of the nicer places I've been stuck in, even if I wish my power wasn't stripped here, too. [ he shrugs. ] They can't keep us forever, so probably tomorrow? I think we got off fairly simply.
[ it's fine don't ask nico how many places he's gone and broken in and out of he shouldn't be in. ]
Maybe if I get a record here they'll send me back early. [ joking. ] ...but no matter what they needed to know people weren't going to stand for having a decision like this made for us.
Of course not. [ easily. ] But only because it's the first time we've done this and it's only been a week. If change happened overnight we'd be home already.
[ it just means that perhaps he will continue to cause problems over the next few weeks. ]
Even better, I'm hoping for plans to prevent any more trials and arrests going forward. At least for us. Aren't we supposed to be "the good guys" here?
[ well he sure as fuck doesn't know come monday when the new rule hits.
but for now he is just. discreetly pointing at a few cops who are lingering nearby to make sure the new heroes in training don't get too out of hand. ]
It's better not to talk too much while we're here, but the biggest one is maybe finding a way to make sure people are back at their dorms by a certain time. If the doors lock again, that leaves us all too scattered and vulnerable otherwise.
If it'll keep people safe and accounted for, I'm all for it. Trying to implement it is going to be the difficult part though. I can't think of a lot of people who'll easily agree to staying inside after a certain time.
We have a curfew, kind of, at camp, but it's still easy to ignore if you ignore the harpies that check the grounds after lights out. [ thoughtfully. ] But on the other hand if it's going to help us...maybe we have to phrase it that way.
Well, some people would still take "safety precaution" as a challenge...[ SIDE EYE AT NIMONA ] ...but I don't think anything would keep them indoors anyway.
[ he brings a hand up to scrub over his face tiredly. ]
The most we can do is see how things shake out next Thursday. If it looks like we might be heading in that direction, we'll try to convince people. And if we can't tell, then...we'll do our best to work with what we've got.

Yeah, it could've been worse. This might be their idea of leniency as it is.
But if you're out tomorrow, that's not so bad. Let's just hope it doesn't go on your criminal record. If that's a thing they do here.

Much as I hate the idea of a curfew...it might actually be needed.

No way, that's just gonna make everyone want to break it even more.

Not much of a plan, but...it's not like we can really tell what'll happen either.
