Anyways, while Datz was gone, Hanako had ample time to assemble their beach gear. This includes a foam bodyboard, binoculars, and a coil of rope he's got slung over his shoulder. ]

Alright! Let's go! We can jog there- that'll help get you warmed up, too.

he will grab the bodyboard because it's a lot less unwieldy for a tall guy to run with, and he will not question why we're bringing either of those other items right now even though maybe he should.

Hanako has less endurance ever since he got a mortal physical body that needs things like sleep, proper nutrition, and ample exercise, but he keeps up as best he can. Getting his heartrate up still feels strange, and more recently makes him think of Reigen and his exploded heart ): ]

also i'm honestly not even sure if he's ever been to an ocean beach since he's from way up in the mountains where there's just lakes and rivers so actually he probably does assume those are normal beach supplies ]

Nonstop. I guess when we get to the beach, we can see if there's any large umbrellas for sale, that should help.

...Not a great idea if your focus is on going a long distance in a short time, but we can give it a try sometime if you wanna.

I was thinking to travel light, so you didn't have as much to tow, but I guess it's different if we had a boat.

I sit on the foam board, tie the rope to it and the other end around your waist, and you swim across the ocean to freedom.

...Yeah, let's try that with a boat instead! Less likely to drown that way if I pull a muscle or something.

Honestly, knowing this place, they've probably got some kinda stupid barrier out there, like. "Sorry, the rest of the ocean is still under construction".

...OK, well. Don't know 'til you try, so let's give it a shot and see what happens, at least! If it doesn't seem like we're making progress after a couple of hours I'm gonna turn us back around though, I'm not lettin' us get stranded out there.
