I mean, everyone wants to help people they like more than ones they don't like. Doesn't make you more selfish than your average person. There's people I'd run into a burning building to save and there's ones I'd shut the door on.

[ granted, the latter category is mostly reserved for people he'd consider to be active threats, but still. ]

Far as I know he's never made any effort to stand up against all the messed up stuff that's going on in his city, so he really is part of the problem.
