[ He hesitates, because he really really does not want to. But it's Datz, and considering what he and Ryuki put him through, it kind of feels like he owes it to him. ]
Oh! We found this while we were out there! Take a look—
[ He produces a sweaty crumpled up newspaper clipping, flattening it out before he shows it to Datz. It reads:
"Yesterday was the deadly attack from the moon. The moon has shown its destructive power. The reason why has not been explored. The past month it was slowly lowering day by day. The night began with the full moon dropping from the night sky, quickly transitioning into attacking everything within its area with lasers and earthquakes.
A white haired man was spotted at the scene, but there have been no reports of him since yesterday night. The heroes of the city were able to force the moon to retreat, at the cost of several of their lives. We take this moment to thank them for their sacrifice. At the moment, it is unknown if this was something that will repeat every full moon. Dread hangs heavy in the air as the city remains uncertain about what is to come.
The damages from the battle are extensive. It will take several months before everything is repaired. The prinnies are being used as part of the labor force in order to restore the city to its former prime. Repairs are set to begin at the town center."
Have you heard anything about a white haired man? A while back I'd asked Mouse what they remembered about that moon attack, and they said the person responsible was dressed in fancy white clothing, and a top hat. [ not that it matters, when life isn't anime where everybody wears one outfit forever ] And their powers had to do with lasers.
Yeah, I asked Goldie about that a while ago too. Said it was a guy in all white who appeared out of nowhere and disappeared after he killed those other four heroes from before, and that they never knew who he was.
They also said all their bodies just vanished right after... same as what we've been seeing here at the ends of executions, and what happens to the bodies of the victims after the trials are over. So we were thinkin' there's some kind of a connection there.

[ after a moment: ]
