[ Tbh I always have to remind myself it's called the Harbinger. I just call it the Addy. ]
Don't you think they're getting a little crazy on the papers? Hard to imagine anyone would reasonably allow that kind of stuff to be published, and I thought I'd read some inflammatory publications. Working in the legal sector does mean you see some nasty stuff here and there.
[ yeah i also had a moment there where i was like "who is this harbinger guy we can do audiences with" ]
...Well, come to think of it, some of those answers were pretty off the rails this week, yeah.
[ he doesn't religiously read the advice column, but even a quick look at it this week made that pretty obvious... though he'd just figured addy was having a bad week and didn't think too hard about the publishing part of it. ]
And frankly I've always had questions about how they're gettin' all the photos they're publishing... or where they're gettin' their info about the deaths for those Friday editions. I mean, they reported Emi's death before we ever even found her body.
You'd be surprised by how tenacious journalists get. Some of them are ambitious enough to actively lie and just barely skirt under the law for the sake of their scoop.
[ Writes off Chiemi's body announcement as this because it's game but the explanation probably makes sense. ]
But taking extreme action behind the scenes doesn't usually translate to getting like that on the actual papers. There were unfinished sentences and everything.
Huh. Well, I guess maybe that part makes sense, then...
[ it is completely legit oocly but his home newspaper is not big on investigative journalism so he will continue to be skeptical!!! who are you, prinny photography guild!!!!! ]
But yeah, you'd usually have an editor makin' sure stuff didn't go out like that, right?
[ The prinnies, they have unimaginable power and the will to journal. ]
Yyyyyyes, I'd think so. So either the Harbinger is a team of some pretty petty people who brand themselves on negative, inflammatory press, or... it could just be one unchecked person with a lot of power.
Either way, the writers clearly can get into places we can't, so.

[ it just keeps getting more blatant and less tolerable.
it takes him a second to recall what the harbinger is, and he blinks before it registers. ]
Oh, the... paper. Right. They were pretty rude about it too, huh?
[ kurto... ]
...Well, even if they turned ya down, it wasn't a bad idea at all, and it's good that you took the initiative to try it.
