Said it wasn't even that he was tryin' to protect his home or anything. He just wanted to see what'd happen if someone killed intentionally rather than by accident.
He's a villain, that's what they do. They take what isn't theirs. Nobody ever tells them not to because they don't have anybody who cares enough to stop them until it's a problem.
But he'll be dead tomorrow, and the crowd will get their show, and then maybe next week someone who has a reason that's a little bit more palatable will kill, and it'll be a harder trial.
[ he definitely thinks it'd be harder to have a worse reason to kill or a more unlikable culprit, anyway... though he still wants to hope they'll be able to avoid doing this again so soon.
but back to that earlier part... he thinks about it, then sighs. ]
I don't believe in givin' up on anyone if they want to make amends or try to change for the better. But whatever kind of story he might've had in the past, he's too far beyond that now. It ain't about him being a villain or a monster or anything, it's about him being a selfish and cruel and remorseless person.

I know he's a bad person. You don't need to keep reminding me. But he wasn't, once. [...] I hate that he killed Chiemi. He sucks. He shouldn't have.
I hope he gets the ending he wants. That's what he deserves. [a death on his terms. a punishment that respects the fact that he wasn't born evil.]
... Okay. [she's really not used to it, but it's very clear that she's relieved that the rest of the team is still her friend.] I won't let anything happen to any of you.
