At a minimum, I could transform into some member of the Royal Guard to get details about their movements that would give us rebels an advantage... and if I was really lucky and could find someone close enough to the queen to turn into, I might have a shot at finding out where she's been keeping someone locked up all this time.
Whoof, that ain't the half of it. The revolution was finally really heatin' up, for one, which was a good thing... but also our leader [ the vibes here are very fond and respectful and gay ] was gonna be on trial for the murder of the Minister of Justice the day after I ended up here, so there was a lot riding on that. Hoping what I added to the book'll be enough to take care of that, though.
