I'll test the waters first by saying I found out who it was without saying it was you, make sure he reacts the way I'm expecting. And remind him I can snap him like a twig if he thinks about saying anything to anybody.

All right? This all really sucks, but we'll get through it.
But what's done will always be done, and you can still make helpful contributions going forward, independent of whatever happened before.
M&M — Mika — she was trying really hard to do that, after she did some bad stuff in her world. And they didn't let her have that chance. You do have it.
I've been fighting to overthrow a corrupt regime for over 20 years, and I grew up in a civil war before that, so, y'know, I've been around. Seen a lot of messed up stuff. Seen people do some desperate things in desperate situations, then devote their lives to changing things so others wouldn't have to live in those same circumstances.

Things never go back to how they were, ruined or not. They change every day. That's just life. You can't change things back to how they were, you can just choose to fight to make them better than they are now.
[ and up pops the memshare i didn't get around to in that other thread because it's also relevant here. just pretend the viewpoint here is from out in the hallway where he actually is instead of right in front of her, lmao. ]
She killed this member of the secret police who found one of our rebel hideouts, and to try to cover that up to protect her, her husband committed suicide and framed this foreign girl who'd been staying with them for murder.
The whole situation was really ugly, and it was frustrating 'cause she and her husband were both good people who did this bad thing 'cause they got backed into a corner by the law.
But rather than sit around feeling bad about it, she stepped up to help fix things so no one else would end up in their situation. Me and Dhurke helped her bust outta court and she's been playing her own special role in the revolution since.
