doghouse | post-heroes alternate soj timeline (canon spoiler warning)

May 13-14?

◈ Inga fucks up his murder attempt somehow idk maybe he took too much pain medicine and his aim sucks. Anyway Dhurke only actually takes one bullet this time and it doesn't hit anything vital so he's alive!! Yay!

◈ Maya gets freed from her hostage situation, Phoenix is still in Khura'in with her.

May 15

◈ Atishon still kills Dr. Buff and Datz still gets arrested in a doghouse after failing to get the orb. Some things never change.

May 16

◈ Datz looks up Phoenix's law office in the yellow pages for his one jail phone call because that's the only American lawyer he knows and since Phoenix isn't there he gets Apollo instead! Wow what a crazy coincidence!! Apollo does not really want to get mixed up in this but Trucy probably pushes him to go when she hears it's someone he knew as a kid.

◈ Apollo gets Datz's passport from his suitcase and gets him out of jail and Datz goes off to get the orb from the cave in the mountains himself after Apollo & co. figure out that's where it is.

◈ Datz fucking hits his head on a rock and gets amnesia again when the cave floor collapses but fortunately he still takes the orb with him because he's like, hey, treasure!

◈ ...And then he gets arrested for Dr. Buff's murder as soon as he gets back to Kurain Village and Apollo has to represent him in that trial. Sorry, AJ.

May 17

◈ Pretty much all the evidence and everything is actually the same in this trial as it was in canon so it probably goes similarly except the focus is on the murder from the start instead of the ownership papers and instead of the dramatic Apollo vs. Phoenix civil trial it's an Apollo vs. Nahyuta criminal trial again. Both of them sighing deeply at their stupid amnesiac uncle making shit up on the stand until his memory suddenly comes back again.

◈ After his acquittal Datz manages to convince Apollo to come back to Khura'in with him to see Dhurke and catch up with Phoenix, who's kind of caught up in the revolution by this point whether he really wants to be or not. Nahyuta is on the same flight and it's very awkward. Datz makes so many jokes during the flight attendant's (Rhoda Teneiro cameo in my heart) safety instruction presentation.

May 18 - canon point + return point

◈ Everyone gets back to Khura'in but this time Inga doesn't get murdered, though like, it's probably still going to happen in a few days, Ga'ran's just got to come up with a different plan. But it will probably involve framing Dhurke again.

◈ Dhurke's still recovering from getting shot a few days ago?? Wow what happened there this sure didn't happen before

◈ The revolution's still heating up a lot but not at the boiling point yet like it was in the other timeline.
